Correspondence between ACTU President Jeff Lawrence and IEU Federal Secretary Chris Watt is attached for all members.
The funding issue, which caused the IEU to sever membership ties with the ACTU in July of 2011, has now been resolved.
IEU Federal President Dick Shearman said he was pleased with the outcome. “The Union now has responsibility for determining funding policy for our sector”, Mr Shearman said.
“We look forward to a new policy based on the statements emerging at the May ACTU congress.”
