Jeremy Finn, State University of New York, an external consultant to the project, reported, “This research leaves no doubt that small classes have an advantage over larger classes in reading and math in the early primary grades.”
And the follow-up studies showed that:
..”students from small classes were less likely to fail a grade level, or be suspended than their peers who were in regular and regular/aide classes. Small-class students were found to be making better grades in their high school courses and to be taking more advanced courses….”
