“We know that early learning support is crucial for children’s development and also provides significant support for the work of our members in schools.”
“Participation and engagement of parents is critical to ensuring every child’s full development and is unquestionably of benefit when that participation and engagement continues through to the school and classroom environment.”
“In a similar vein the IEU also strongly endorses the work of the Australian Parents Council’s Indigenous Parent Factor (IPF) program.”
The IPF reaches out to Indigenous parents with the aim to positively influence home learning and consequently improve Indigenous children’s chances of a successful start to the early years of schooling.
The program was designed in collaboration with Indigenous communities, elders and educators to foster the partnership between home & school.
