The Independent Education Union of Australia (IEU) is offering $1000 prize money to the winner of the Photography Awards 2014, a new competition which celebrates the union’s Quality Education campaign.
The competition is open to IEU members who wish to submit a piece of photographic artwork that best reflects the theme Quality Education. What We Do, Who We Are.
First, second and third prize shall be awarded in each IEU branch, with respective prize money of $500, $300 and $200. Branch finalists will go into the national competition, with first, second and third prizes to the value of $1,000, $500 and $250.
National finalists will be judged the day before World Teachers Day, which is held each year on October 5, and aims to celebrate the successes of teachers and shed light on their concerns.
The IEU’s Quality Education campaign aims to support our union’s work ensuring that Governments commit to resourcing and supporting quality education. The campaign is inspired by Education International’s Unite for Quality Education campaign, representing 30 million affiliate members who demand that quality education for all remains at the top of the agenda for a sustainable, peaceful and prosperous future.
