Better teachers achieve better student outcomes. It's a "no-brainer" really, so what is all the hype around the recent research announcement by Economist Andrew Leigh?

In fact, even if Andrew Leigh's ‘estimations' are correct, does it lead us anywhere other than more standardised testing for students and a narrowing of the curriculum?
