Early Years Learning Framework.
The Early Years Learning Framework is part of the
Council of Australian Government’s (COAG) reform agenda for early childhood
education and care and is a key component of the Australian Government’s
National Quality Agenda for early childhood education and care. It will underpin universal access to early
childhood education and be incorporated in the National Quality Standard in
order to ensure delivery of nationally consistent and quality early childhood
education across sectors and jurisdictions. IEUA has been active in the development of the
Framework through its various submissions. The
Early Years Learning Framework On Line Forum
September 2009. IEU members now have a further opportunity to
participate in the Early Years Learning Framework online forum . The Forum seeks the views of early childhood professionals on the draft Early Years Learning Framework
Educators’ Guide ‘Using Belonging, Being and Becoming in Early Childhood
Services: A Guide for Educators’. The Educators’ Guide will be developed as a series of
modules to support implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework. The
Guide will explain, interpret and expand the Framework for early childhood
educators. Through the online forum IEU members will have the
opportunity to review and trial the draft modules in their services,
participate in online discussions, share ideas and provide feedback on the
documents. Feedback from the online forum will inform the
development of the final Early Years Learning Framework Educators’ Guide
modules. IEU members can register for the forum on http://www.deewr.gov.au/EarlyChildhood/Policy_Agenda/Quality/Pages/EarlyYearsLearningFramework.aspx |
