Schools value injection of funds

Stop playing politics with school funding

“The Federal Opposition is behaving as though they have something against schools and their communities,” says Independent Education Union of Australia Federal Secretary Chris Watt.

“We have seen the Federal Opposition try to block school funding last year, we have seen them try to block the building education revolution monies earlier this year and now we see them wanting to stop the work underway on Building the Education Revolution.

“The Opposition must stop playing politics for their own gain and recognise that school communities overwhelmingly value this once in a life time injection of funds.

“In the non government school sector, all parties in school communities are working hard and effectively to take advantage of the funding.

“Allegations of bureaucratic difficulties in one or two jurisdictions should not be the cause of seeing this program curtailed.”
